Pipes and water installations in Torrevieja
When the plumbing is old, about to be built or keeps causing problems, it is time to do it properly. I replace pipes, renew whole installations, plumb new builds and check supply connections and stopcocks.

What I do
A water installation works as a whole: the supply connection that brings water in from the street, the valves that let you shut it off by zones and the pipes that carry it around the property. When I check one part, I also look at the others so the job is not left half done.
Water pipe installation and replacement
When the installation is old or has caused too many problems, replacing the pipes costs less in the long run than endless repairs. I explain what makes sense to do.
Replacing pipes means lifting only what is needed, installing the new route and finishing the area so the result is no worse than before. I plan the job to disturb the home as little as possible.
I choose the material to suit the installation: copper, multilayer or polyethylene, with the right fittings. Before I start you get a quote with each item listed separately.
Renovation of older plumbing installations
Homes from decades ago have pipe materials that are no longer recommended. I renew the installation in phases so the work stays orderly and the quote is easy to understand.
Renewal starts with a diagnosis: what material is there, where it runs, which sections are still sound and which are causing problems. From that I propose a phased plan with the cost of each phase.
Working in phases spreads the cost and reduces disruption. I start with the highest-risk items, such as leaks or pipes in poor condition, and leave what can wait for later.
Plumbing installations for new builds
On a new build, the plumbing is decided before the walls are closed. I do the complete installation, coordinated with the other trades, so everything arrives on time and without rework.
From the plans I review the water points, drains and the position of stopcocks and access points. A good layout avoids future works and makes the property easier to maintain for years.
I install the hot and cold water network, the drains and the pressure and watertightness tests before closing up. You get a detailed quote itemised by section, so comparing it is straightforward.
Water supply connection installation and repair
The supply connection is the section that brings water from the mains to your home or premises. If it fails, the whole property has no water. I check, repair or replace it and keep the process clear.
A supply connection with leaks or low pressure is usually felt across the whole property. I check the section, the access chamber and the stopcock to see whether the problem is the connection or the internal installation.
If the section needs replacing, I explain the route, the building work needed and any permits that might be required. You get the quote before I start, with the items listed separately.
Shut-off valve installation and replacement
A stopcock that will not close or drips means you have to shut off the water to the whole home when a fault happens. I install and replace shut-off valves that close properly first time.
A worn stopcock can seize or start to drip. When there is a fault and it will not close, the flooding gets worse. That is why valves should be checked and replaced in time, especially the main one at the entrance.
I install shut-off valves at the main entrance, at each water point and on appliances that need them. I explain which type suits the installation and what each option costs.
When it is worth calling me
- Repeated leaks in the same installation
- Galvanised iron pipes with rust or low flow
- You are building or refurbishing a home or premises
- No water or low pressure across the whole home or block
- The stopcock is stiff, jams or does not fully close
- Cloudy water, or water with colour or an odd taste at the tap
How I fix it
- 1
I check the installation and the condition of each section before proposing anything.
- 2
I give you a quote in stages, with what is urgent separated from what is optional.
- 3
I carry out the work, pressure-test it and explain what I have changed.
Frequently asked questions
When is it worth replacing the whole installation?
When faults keep recurring or the material is badly deteriorated. I give you an honest assessment: sometimes replacing one section is enough.
Can I renew only part of the home?
Yes. Many renewals are done room by room, for example the bathroom or kitchen first. I tell you which order makes most sense.
Do you work with architects or developers?
Yes. I adapt to the plans and the programme of the build. I coordinate directly with whoever runs the site to avoid delays.
Who pays for the supply connection?
It depends on who owns that section and on the supply company. I explain who is responsible for each part before I quote.
How often should a stopcock be replaced?
There is no fixed interval. If it is hard to turn or does not close properly, it should be replaced. I check it on the visit.
Can it be done without building work?
In many cases yes, through access hatches or areas that are already open. I assess it on the visit and tell you how much building work is needed.
How do I know if my installation is too old?
Frequent faults, low flow or discoloured water are good signs that renewal is worth considering. I carry out a check to confirm it.
Do you include tests before closing up?
Yes. I carry out pressure and watertightness tests before walls are closed, because fixing things afterwards costs far more.
