Water heaters and domestic hot water in Torrevieja

Without hot water the whole home changes. I check the electric water heater, the hot water pipes and the recirculation so that hot water reaches every tap without long waits.

What I do

When the hot water fails, the heater is not always to blame. There may be a loss in the circuit, a mixer that does not regulate properly or a run so long that the water takes ages to arrive. I check the whole system before proposing a replacement.

Electric water heater installation, repair and replacement

Without hot water the whole home changes. I check the heater, repair the element or thermostat and, if it no longer makes sense, install a new one of the right size.

A heater that does not heat is usually down to a burnt-out element, a misadjusted thermostat or an electrical fault. If it leaks from the safety valve or the tank, the problem may be the anode or the tank itself.

I explain the cause and the options. If replacement is needed, I work out the capacity according to the number of people and give you a quote including the installation, the connections and the safety valve.

Domestic hot water system installation and repair

Hot water depends on the whole system: the heater, the pipes and every outlet. I diagnose where the heat or the flow is being lost and repair the right section.

If hot water takes a long time to arrive, comes out lukewarm or disappears when two taps are opened, the problem may be the heater, the insulation of the pipes or a section with a leak. I find it before replacing parts.

I install the new system or extend the hot water network with suitable materials and insulation. You get a quote with the heater, the pipes and the connections listed separately.

Hot water recirculation loop installation

Waiting several seconds for hot water wastes both water and energy. A recirculation loop keeps hot water available at the outlets.

Recirculation keeps hot water moving around a loop that returns to the heater. The hot water is then available almost instantly at the furthest tap, without running cold water away while you wait.

I design the route, the pump and the insulation to suit the size of the home or the building. You get a quote with the materials and temperature control included.

Lukewarm water or changing temperature

If the water comes out lukewarm, goes cold halfway through a shower or changes temperature without touching the tap, the cause may be the heater, a mixer that does not regulate properly or cold and hot water mixing inside the system. I check each part separately so the heater is not replaced if the problem is elsewhere.

If the heater makes noise, drips from the safety valve or trips the power when it switches on, it should be checked as soon as possible.

Which water heater suits you

The size of the heater depends on how many people live in the home and whether several showers are used at the same time. A heater that is too small runs out of hot water and one that is too big wastes energy. I help you choose the right one and place it where the run to the taps is short.

When it is worth calling me

  • Water comes out cold or lukewarm even with the heater switched on
  • Hot water takes a long time to reach the tap
  • A long wait for hot water in the furthest bathroom
  • Dripping from the safety valve or the tank
  • Lukewarm water or water that cools quickly in the shower
  • Running cold water away while waiting for hot every time

How I fix it

  1. 1

I check the heater, the connections and how water reaches each outlet.

  2. 2

I tell you whether repair or replacement makes sense, with a written quote.

  3. 3

I install or repair and check temperature and flow before I leave.

Frequently asked questions

What size of water heater do I need?

It depends on the number of people and how it is used. I work it out on the visit, so you do not run out of hot water or pay for more than you need.

How can I reduce the wait for hot water?

A recirculation loop or an outlet closer to the heater helps a lot. I explain the best option for your home.

Does recirculation use more energy?

It keeps the loop warm, so it does use energy. That is offset by avoiding wasted water, and it can be reduced with a timer or a sensor.

Is it worth repairing an old water heater?

It depends on the fault and the age. If the repair is simple, it usually makes sense. If the tank is corroded, I recommend replacing it.

Do you install hot water systems in older homes?

Yes. I adapt the installation to the home, with the pipes and heater that fit the existing space best.

Can it be added to an existing installation?

In many cases yes. I assess on the visit whether the current route allows the loop to be installed.
